The most important thing to remember in our life is that we are all created in the image of God, that we are all fallen from the grace of God, yet through that grace we are saved from the punishment we deserve. It was from the beginning that we are to walk and talk with God on a continual basis, yet through the desire of the flesh man chose to be separated from God.
Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
only through this next verse can we be restored into the fellowship with God:
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
What? You mean my works can’t buy me a spot in the kingdom of God by doing good? I know, I am preaching to the choir and that we all know this, but I need to set the stage a little so bear with me.
We need to understand that God loves us even when we are not doing His will, that in Romans 8:38-39 says nothing can separate us from the Love of God through Christ Jesus, and Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.Rom 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. He loves us…!!!!
God loves us and we can’t do anything to earn this love yet when someone does something for us that we don’t deserve what do we do? We thank them, and suppose that thing they did was to save our life from eternal damnation? I want you to think about that last sentence for a minute and see if it can’t stir up some emotions of gratitude and adoration for the one true God and Jesus Christ.
Psa 100:1 A Psalm of praise. Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
Psa 100:2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
Psa 100:3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Psa 100:4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
Psa 100:5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
Go into a private place and lock the door, put on some of your favorite praise music and just let it go. Sing and shout and thank Him dance like there’s no tomorrow. Be like David and just don’t care what others think.
2Sa 6:14 And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.2Sa 6:15 So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.
Don’t put it off, do it now.
