It is so apparent that time is the enemy of all mankind. When you start off in life there are no user manuals and no way of knowing that the further you go the harder it becomes to deal with this age-old enemy, time.
We think we have it all together and we think things will get done in its due time, and the next thing you know there is no more, you have run out of time. An interesting subject to say the least, the thoughts that brought me to this place is of course the same subject. While looking at the calendar realized that if I dint set down and word this out, I will have run out of time and missed the deadline.
Perhaps the other reason I was directed to plan this topic around time is, recently I was honored to speak in front of a group of prisoners at the territorial prison in Cannon City. It is hard not to think of what these men must be going through and as it turns out most of them have plenty of time. Will they make good use of the time they have or not? I would like to think that we as the prison ministries team had at least touched a handful of hearts.
Even if you think you have all the time in the world it will always never be enough. The truth is, time is running out.
In the bible there is a quote from Christ Himself that says “Rev 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
Mat 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”
We will be going along as if nothing is happening and “Wammo” time has ran out.
Mat 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
Mat 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
I know that most of us are aware of the fleeting time and as Christians I hope we are all ready for the coming of the king, because like it or not the time is coming faster than we think, and then will we stand before him and here these words
Mat 25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
Mat 25:35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
Mat 25:36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
Mat 25:37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave theedrink?
Mat 25:38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
Mat 25:39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
Mat 25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Because;
Php 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;Php 2:11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ isLord, to the glory of God the Father.
