Isn’t He wonderful? The God of all creation the ruler of all universes who is all in all and who was and is and is to come. How with all the power and majesty of this awesome being took the time to leave us humans a roadmap to Him and to His place of eternal peace and happiness. Yes, I am talking about the life changing everlasting infallible word of our living God.

From the very beginning it was and always will be His desire to communicate with us. In the garden it was God who sought after his final creation. He loves us and even when we didn’t deserve to be part of his Kingdom, He made the ultimate sacrifice for us to become one with Him again.

Now that we set the stage lets go for a brief tour of these wonderful words. As we know, it takes a lifetime to understand all that God has left us in His words yet there is one theme that comes true no matter who you are and how far down the path of sin we have fallen. He LOVES us!

He wants us to be the image of Himself and to Love one another. Gen 1:27  “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”

We all know the rest of the story, you know about how sin entered the earth and we the crown jewel of his creation became filled with sin and hatred toward each other and that the whole world was filled with the men of exceeding wickedness, yet he still loves us Rom 5:8  “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Wait, I missed something, in this wonderful book we hold so dear is a verse that changed everything, the first verse we probably learned in Sunday school as a youth;

Joh 3:16  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

This Son of the everlasting God was treated in ways we can not imagine yet his whole life on earth was the magnification of the love of God. He healed the sick, He raised the dead, He wept over the state of man, Luk 19:41  “And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,”

Heb 4:15  “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.”

He was treated worse than we can imagine yet He still loves us, wherein His ministry always had a familiar ring to it, Love one another! Joh 13:34  “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.”

If we remember every line in the bible the one thing that we should adhere to the most is that He loves us and wants us to love as He loves us. The sermon on the mount is probably laid out in a way that no other passage of the bible can explain this, and the best part, it is all in red. Matthew 5-7 check it out for yourself.

There is so much about the words of God I could say, and it would take volumes more than this one article. I will leave you with these final thoughts,  Heb 4:12  “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

The word of God is alive, it knows what you need before you open the first page. Have you ever gone to the bible and once you read a passage thought to yourself “Wow that’s exactly what I needed to hear” happy accident? I think not, Mat 10:29  Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.

Mat 10:30  But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

Mat 10:31  Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

The following is taken from commentary by F.B. Meyer “Remember that in all your anxiety and pain, the Father is near. His presence encloses you in its gentle, holy embrace. You are of value to Him, of more value than you can count, because you were purchased with the precious blood of Christ.”
